Invitation to tender: Security and Guarding Services
An invitation is hereby extended to companies registered in terms of the Security Officers Act, 1987 (Act 92 of 1987), with the Private Security Industry Regulating Authority (PSIRA) who are experienced in security and guarding at institutions and/ or businesses of comparable size and who are interested in rendering these services to the different sites of CAPRISA.
CAPRISA is a Research Institute of the University of KwaZulu-Natal and Columbia University and is a joint venture involving, in addition, the University of Cape Town, University of the Western Cape and the National Institute for Communicable Diseases.
CAPRISA is committed to both the principle and practical implementation of a Procurement Policy of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE).
A COMPULSORY Information Meeting and Site Inspection visit will be held on 12 July 2012 at 09h00 at CAPRISA, Ethekwini Clinic Research Site, 3 Richards Road, Warwick Avenue, Berea. An attendance register will close promptly at the starting time of the meeting and late-comers will be excluded from the meeting/inspection.
Thereafter proceed to the Vulindlela Clinic Research Site immediately after the information and inspection session at Ethekwini Clinic Research Site. Venue: CAPRISA, Vulindlela Clinic Research Site, Mafakatini Clinic, Howick.
Note: Bidders are to provide own transport.
CAPRISA thanks all bidders for their interest however regrets that correspondence is limited to short-listed bidders only; should you not receive communication within 30 (thirty) days of the closing date of this tender, please consider your proposal unsuccessful. CAPRISA does not bind itself to accept the lowest bid and reserves the right to accept a bid in whole, parts thereof or not at all. Late, faxed and/or emailed tenders will NOT be accepted/considered.

Suppliers are reminded that contracts with PURCO SA will encompass the specific products and services specified in the tender as well as all related transactions.
Only Tender Documents received before the closing date and time will be considered. No exceptions will be made for late submissions.
- Completed tender documents should be saved on to a USB memory stick.
- Place the USB and hard copy version of your tender documents in a sealed envelope endorsed with the contract name and contract number.
