Supply and Installation of Video Conferencing Equipment / Lecturer System/s

Overview

Tender project for the purchase of IT equipment for four (4) South African IMPALA partner universities.

Within this project, the University of Antwerp has obtained funding from the European Union specifically for the purchase of IT equipment for the four South African IMPALA partner universities: Cape Peninsula University of Technology, University of Fort Hare, University of Venda and University of Limpopo. This equipment is aimed at supporting virtual mobility and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). More specifically, the IMPALA Steering Committee decided to use funds to equip, at each university, a room where at least 20 students and their professor can engage in live video conferencing and online collaboration with international partners in optimal conditions.

Delivery requirements: 

Only Tender Documents received before the closing date and time will be considered.  No exceptions will be made for late submissions.

There will only be one compulsory information session, for all four Universities. Namely:

  1. Cape Peninsula University of Technology
  2. University of Fort Hare
  3. University of Venda
  4. University of Limpopo

Please take note of the following:

  • Respondents need to ensure that they are in possession of a full set of bid documents when attending the information session.
  • Participants are requested to ensure that the person who would be authorized to complete the bid documents also attend the information session.
  • An attendance register will be signed before the commencement of the compulsory information session.
  • Anyone who comes late will not be allowed to enter into the information session, please be on time.
  • All attendees must ensure that they sign the attendance register provided on site.
  • It is the responsibility of the bidder to attend the compulsory information briefings and/or site briefings. It is furthermore upon the bidder to arrive at the briefing session venue at the specific time indicated. PURCO SA shall not be held responsible for late attendance at such briefings including as a reason for lack of proper completion of tender documents. The bidder shall ensure that he/she signs the attendance register.
  • Only submissions from respondents who attended the compulsory information session will be considered.
  • All bidders shortlisted for responsive offers will be subjected to a diligence vetting process.
  • This session is non-compulsory
  • An online and simultaneous physical session will be held on 03-04-2018 at 09:00. You may choose to attend online or in person.
  • You may attend the Session prior to purchasing the tender document. Details for the Session will be provided after you register.
