PROVISION OF STUDENT ACCOMMODATION
The University of Fort Hare is in the process of considering offers from interested parties with existing accommodation suitable for student housing for April 2018 to December 2018. Tenderers are invited to submit proposals to assist The University of Fort Hare (UFH) with the urgent accommodation needed at UFH. The facility must accommodate the minimum number of students as specified in the special conditions regarding this offer.
SCOPE OF TENDER
The University of Fort Hare is inviting interested parties with existing accommodation suitable for student housing to submit expressions of interest to assist the university with its urgent accommodation needs in April 2018.
The accommodation provided must be in accordance with the Policy on the Minimum Norms and Standards for Student Housing at Public Institutions.
Interested parties must enter their concept proposals in line with the requirements within this document.
The refurbishment of these facilities is to be performed at the service provider's own cost for a return rental over the specified period.
The University of Fort Hare notes the following:
The lowest or only offer would not necessarily have to be accepted by UFH and the UFH, as such, reserve the right to accept any or no offer at all. The lowest or any offer shall not necessarily be accepted and UFH reserve the right to accept the whole offer or any part thereof.

Questions from Purchasers:
Purchasers' questions about the tender will be managed online in a dedicated Q&A environment to maximise transparency and so that all purchasers are kept informed. Emailed or telephonic questions from purchasers will not be responded to.

Suppliers are reminded that contracts with PURCO SA will encompass the specific products and services specified in the tender as well as all related transactions.

Only Tender Documents received before the closing date and time will be considered. No exceptions will be made for late submissions.
- Completed tender documents should be saved on to a USB memory stick.
- Place the USB and hard copy version of your tender documents in a sealed envelope endorsed with the contract name and contract number.

No refunds and transfers

Note the following Information Session details:
Compulsory information session:
East London Campus: 16 March 2018 (please purchase the tender document for further information)
For information regarding the venue and time of the compulsory information sessions, kindly purchase the tender document (information is listed inside the tender document). It is requested that the person who is to complete the tender document, be present during the information session so as to get the relevant information pertaining to the completion of the tender document.
The information meeting is compulsory. An attendance register will close promptly at the starting time of the meeting and no one who arrives late will be allowed to attend.
NOTE:
An attendance register will be signed during the compulsory information session;
All attendees must ensure that they sign the Attendance Register provided on site. The register will only be available for signature for the first half hour of the information session;
Only submissions from respondents who attended the Compulsory Information Session will be considered;
Respondents must ensure that they enter the venue where the information session is to be held before the advertised time. Respondents arriving after commencement of the proceedings will be turned away;
Respondents need to ensure that they are in possession of a full set of bid documents when attending the information session;
Participants are requested to ensure that the person who would be authorised to complete the bid documents also attend the information session.
