All you need to know about the PURCO SA Source Guide
For more than 40 years, PURCO SA has facilitated collaboration between the Institutions of Higher Learning and our suppliers. In a continuous effort in maintaining these collaborative relationships, PURCO SA created the PURCO SA Source Guide. The PURCO SA Source Guide is a marketing tool by the Consortium on behalf of all contracted suppliers, cataloguing all their products and services in one guide, as an easy reference to our Membership Institutions. The PURCO SA Source Guide is updated regularly, so Members can stay up to date with all our contracted suppliers, their details, products, and services they offer.
• For PURCO SA
- encourage Members to use PURCO SA negotiated contracts (PURCO SA earns rebates; the more Members that utilize PURCO SA's contracts the greater the leverage that PURCO SA has to negotiate better pricing and service deals for Members )
- demonstrate commitment to contracted suppliers
- provide Members with an easy to use source guide/contract directory
- create greater awareness of, and market PURCO SA
• For PURCO SA Members:
- Provides an easy to use printed and electronic resource that lists all current contracted suppliers and contracts.
- Easily find contracts and contracted suppliers in clearly defined categories (contract category, contract name, which members the contract applies to, supplier name and contact details, supplier BEE details,
- Find additional information about suppliers from advertisements or supplier profiles
- Provide suppliers with information needed about the Member's procurement department (contact details, delivery instructions, hours of work etc.)
• For PURCO SA contracted suppliers
- Make PURCO SA members aware of the contracts they have negotiated with PURCO SA at no cost to the supplier
- Opportunity to create additional awareness (stand out from other contracted suppliers) by paying for an advertisement or paying for a Supplier Profile listing
- Opportunity to alert Members every month about their company and contracts (requires an advertising contract)
- Access to Member procurement department information (contact details, delivery instructions, hours of work etc.)
