Welcome to 2026 | Message from the CEO

As we enter 2026, I would like to extend my sincere best wishes to you and your teams for the year ahead. I trust that the festive period provided an opportunity for rest and reflection, and that you can begin your new year with renewed energy and purpose.

The past year was exceptional. During 2025, eighty-two institutions utilised contracts negotiated by PURCO SA, leading to a 16% increase in procurement spend to R3.6 billion, and returning R99 million to Members in rebates. Cumulative Member spend facilitated through PURCO SA contracts since 2010 now exceeds R26 billion, with more than R3.3 billion in savings and rebates.

While this scale of activity underscores the depth and breadth of PURCO SA’s contribution to the higher-education procurement community, it would not have been possible without the commitment of our Members and the constructive engagement of our business partners. Looking ahead, 2026 presents important opportunities to deepen collaboration, strengthen shared procurement outcomes, and further enhance the value delivered to our partners through the consortium.
