PURCO SA supporting good causes - King's Hope Development Foundation
The Kings Hope Development Foundation is PURCO SA’s main charity recipient. The registered NPO feeds the hungry and supports people living with HIV/AIDS in Olievenhoutbosch outside Johannesburg.
This past year Kings Hope celebrated its 20th Anniversary, and PURCO SA was invited to be part of the celebrations to mark their two decades in operation.
PURCO SA is proud to have been associated with King’s Hope for many years, under the capable leadership of Managing Director Pastor Kabelo Bahentse.
Kings Hope helps the vulnerable members of our communities by providing outreach and support groups for HIV and TB patients, counselling, as well as assistance for families and single parents in need. The Foundation also operates a shelter for abused women and children.
Community members who volunteer usually meet at the centre to assist in maintaining the vegetable gardens, as well as the daily operations of the charity shop, which provides additional income.
In addition to other support, the PURCO SA staff visit the Kings Hope centre every year on Mandela Day to donate clothing, food and gifts for King’s Hope staff, plus goodies for the volunteers and the women and children living in the shelter.
